* I'm interested in playing various genres of game- I'm a fan of the GURPS for general flexibility, I have a preference for horror & sci-fi gaming, but I like trying on different backdrops.
* I'm based in Brooklyn, South Slope/Sunset Park
* I'm primarily interested in playing in either Manhattan or Brooklyn
* I travel by subway and bike
* My schedule varies- I'm looking to play with people who can plan a week or so out for the next session- frequency would ideally be every other week-ish, more play in the winter, less when the weather is nice. Weekday evenings after work or Sunday afternoons are ideal.

I haven't gamed much in a while. My formative years were spent playing with a group of friends who took turns running short campaigns- the story tended to be emphasized over the rules, and we all liked making new characters for each campaign (though occasionally we would employ some repeat performances from our favorites). I'd like to find something similar.

For what its worth, I'd like to play with other folks mid-20's and older.

I am looking to play Star Wars X-wing Miniature game, Star Wars The Card game LCG, The Lord of the Ring The card game LCG, A Game of Thrones The Card game LCG, Star Wars Edge of the Empire RPG, I am open to playing other games also but these are ones that I currently own except for A game of thrones but I will be buying this week. I haven't played none of these games yet but I am so eager to learn them and have fun playing them with some great people.

D&D 4th edition because I heard it was the simplest to learn and any sort of horror roleplaying game I may not know of. I know very little about these sort of games but the desire to play is there.

Rules-lite games like Barbarians of Lemuria, BASH!, Pendragon, Castles & Crusades (D&D 3e-lite), and Savage Worlds would be preferred. I'd also be interested in Mouse Guard (especially the Realm Guard mod), The One Ring, and older games like AD&D, Basic D&D, Dragon Warriors, DC Heroes, Feng Shui, Traveller, Star Frontiers, Harn, etc.
To be honest, I'd be happy gaming with a group that values character interaction and creating a story together over non-stop, tactical combat scenarios... regardless of the system used.

Weekdays from 4pm until 11pm or so, Saturdays from 6ish until whenever (that's relatively flexible, as I can show up earlier if I skip out on my boardgaming group earlier in the day), and occasional Sundays (I have to balance gaming with taking time to hang out with my wife and/or family).

The general: I have been in NYC on temporary assignment which is looking more indefinite than temporary; my hours have reduced to tolerable overtime enabling me to do more than just work, eat, and sleep. It has been too long since I last played… something.

Dungeons and Dragons (1, 2, and 4 editions are what I am familiar with, almost always DM), Shadow Run (4 edition), Call of Cthulu (never played, but interested), GURPS (never played, but interested), Munchkin, Arkham Horror, Lords of Waterdeep, Magic the Gathering (novice, no current access to my cards). My available time is dictated by workload at work; generally I have all Sundays off and currently have every other Saturday off. Saturdays that I work vary from half day to full day. Friday evenings when I don’t have to work the following Saturday work well too. I’m hoping for one-shots or groups that can tolerate an inconsistent or short-term character; preferably with a group of people aged mid-20's +.
