Hello all. Quite excited that this exists! :D

My name is Michele. I live in Brooklyn. Pretty much been a geek / nerd since birth (before it was cool to be a geek / nerd lol). Definitely looking forward to meeting some new local peoples. Particularly curious to see if there any fellow LGBT nerds (I'm bisexual & monogamous) on here and/or geek / nerds on wheels (wheelchairs), though if I am pretty much open to connecting and meeting any awesome people. I just get curious to see what specific things can get. That and I've always wanted to have motorized wheelchair races (of course with wheelchairs of equal power, so it's a legitimate race. I once raced my friend, but his chair is on the verge of dying so it wasn't really a fair match)

hobbies: art, music, activism, alternative medicine/nutrition, computers, spirituality, cooking, reading (love non-fiction and graphic novels). Pro-Ewok. Also been known to discuss Doctor Who (the modern version) though I am a bit behind as I rely on Netflix to watch it. Used to LARP (Whitewolf's Masquerade and occasionally Changeling) but the games usually run really late at night, so once I started working ... etc. I WOULD LOVE to find some afternoon games. Those were fun. Love Ren Faires and more. Just checking this out and hoping to chat with / meet some good peoples :)

We should point out that, while our Boardgame Nights at ThinkCoffee are awesome in many, many ways, the venue entrance does have several steps and no wheelchair access.

The True Nerd Trivia venue is wheelchair-accessible, though!

Hi there. Fellow nerd with disabilities here (though I am a walkie* :-) ).

May be doing some afternoon games in my (accessible) apartment this summer. Will keep you in mind!

Matt

*I'm actually having surgery soon and will be relying on a combo of wheelchair and crutches to get around this summer.
