It is my pleasure to announce that our public playtest for the D&D Next project will commence on May 24th. The playtest is the single most important part of the D&D Next process.

Does anyone have any info about how they are going to conduct the playtest?

I signed up, but since it's May 23rd and I've got nary an email from WotC, I'm going to assume that I am not part of the playtest. Which makes me sad.

Looks like they just sent out the playtest emails and confirmation this morning!

I am looking forward to trying to break teh system with a Lawful Neutral Bugbear Anti-Paladin >.>

Looks like they are spreading out the emails (makes sense to prevent server crash).

Probably best to wait on clicking the email link, by the way. Currently the link in the second email to download the packet is broken (leads to customer service and an almost audible the tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth sound distantly in the background...).

Have my email, totally made my day, could turn out to be the worst DnD ever, but until then it COULD be the best!!! So excited... even with the possibility of a let down.

Someone was posting to do an advanced search on the customer service page for 'playtest download' restricted to the d&d product line and it's near the top.

I got the documents. It looks like one of the developers posted in tweeter about a workaround to get the document. I found it on their community page.

Waiting on the download link, it looks like their servers are getting creamed.

I may just do an end-run and have the shop cc: me on their copy.
