It is out of the iPad. I am liking it so far, still finishing the prologue.

I am looking forward to it, but probably won't play it until I play Final Fantasy (the original). I just downloaded it when they ran a sale.

I was apparently way smarter when I played this game 10,000 years ago. As I'm reading the classes and the rules and all that AD&D madness, I find myself scratching my head all the time.

This game was COMPLEX. I have no memory of this level of complexity.

Also, the spell management system seem specifically designed to be obtuse. Feels like 13 presses just to activate a spell and then 4 more to cast it (on the wrong target!).

It may be just a matter of getting used to all the touch controls (touch, hold, release is infuriating, especially when it does different things in different windows or does it? I CAN'T TELL BUT I'M CONFUSED!). However, the game looks really nice and gives me all the glee of playing an intentionally confusing game from the past...I imagine this is what it would be like for my dad if I made him play Star Control 2!

Fun fact: I still have my baldur's gate paper map! I kept it in an old roleplaying miscellany folder! Booyah!

I have played a few hours on the iPad, and I am really liking it. It took a while to figure out how to enter buildings, but now I am proficient at it. The game has crashed a couple of times, that is annoying if you don't keep frequent saves, but overall the experience is very enjoyable. The game uses the Baldur's Gate 2 engine, so that means that some classes are different than the original, including kits.

Cawshis, we can give a try to the multiplayer tomorrow, if you are up for it.
