I'm good for either option, though - in a totally self-preservy kind of way - I'd prefer the 'more games' option as I'd be more likely to be selected as a player even though I'm totally new and no body knows me...

Dramatic much?

Yes I do.

What would three rooms, but still having five games, be like?

Cramped but doable. The rooms they are offering are relatively small - we used them for a past recess and having more than 1 table in them illicited complaints from the players about noise and distractions.

Much as I would like to have quieter spaces, it seems more egalitarian to have more game options, and offer more gamers a chance to game or run.

you said the increased price is because of less people not more cost, is it not possible to add another room to the quieter option and adding more people and hence more money to pay for the extra room? Or do you just expect less people to sign up because of the increased cost and you won't be able to fill enough people for a GGG with 5 groups at $50?

Affirmative. Death-Bot 9000 would rather avoid internet drama.

I can get 3 rooms for 5 games and everyone still pays 40 - adding a 4th room or more both jacks the price way up and 440 will have trouble giving us that many available rooms each week for the dates I have selected.

So the solution will be thusly: 3 games in one room (ones that may have less than 5 people playing) and 2 others get a private one based on # of people playing (5 or more) and personal GMing style of the person running it (i.e. if loud booming voices and singing are often employed).
