Hey everyone, I'm Mochi.

I was at the Improving your Games panel at ConnectiCon and some of you awesome folks gave me tips and well-wishes for starting out as a GM, and suggested I join up here. Yay!

I'm starting up a Burning Wheel campaign (Gold edition) with some of my friends. I've only GM'ed once before, with moderate success but clear room for improvement, so I'm hoping all of you who are more experienced than I will help out a newbie GM. :)

Hi Mochi, it was great meeting you at CTCon (at the Improve Your Game seminar, I was the person in the front row to your left and you met my wife Terry).

Let us know how we can be of help. We love BW and it's a fantastic game for learning how to GM with its Beliefs system. Luke, the designer, also posts here under the name Abzu. And if you are ever in NYC, let us know!

Here are the other links I promised:

http://jiffycon.com/ - A small convention, often featuring independent games like Burning Wheel, held 2-3 times a year in Boston and Western Massachusetts.

http://brilliantgameologists.com/ - a great group of people who also run games driving distance from Boston.

http://www.sgboston.com/ - is a group that gets together to play Indie RPGs frequently at Pandemonium Books in Cambridge, MA.

If you ever have GMing question, please ask us in our RPG section and we will do what we can to help!

D'oh! Jenskot, I didn't realize you were there! Did you ever come by the dealer room?

Welcome, Mochi! If you walked through the dealer room at all, you probably saw me at my booth, Modern Myths. The Western MA gaming crew are all awesome, and you'll get lots of great gaming advice here, too. Many of them (and soon, me) are pretty mobile and do fun gamer stuff in both MA and the NYC area as we're able to based on schedules and finances.

The 4 times I tried going to the dealer room I was thwarted! The only reason I event wanted to go was to meet you! But I will be up in Wes MA this weekend and hope to stop by the shop.

We might even abandon him at the shop.

Hi,
I'm moving back to NYC from Japan and I love mochi.

Let's eat some mochi next January.
