I remember backpacking through Guatemala. I was in a tiny boat on lake Atitlan and I was listening to Jane's Addiction on cassette on a walkman while women in beautiful Guatemalan dresses with baskets full of chickens on their heads got into the boat.

It was a surreal moment.
