I've read that one woman who lost 160 pounds (that's a whole me!) Did it using Wii Fit combined with EA sports and the biggest loser. I can't see a sports game appealing much to me, but I am going to look into 'The Biggest Loser' game.

EA Sports Active isn't a sports game, it's a structured workout. It's got resistance bands and a thingy you strap to your leg so it can read the angle your leg is at. It's got a 30-day challenge that takes you through workouts of increasing duration and difficulty, or you can just pick the exercises you want to do, and (I think) save a custom workout.

That actually looks really interesting. Is it compatible with the balance board?

Yes. When you start the workout you can say whether you want to use the board or not.

So, yesterday Dracura and I went to Pennsylvania and ate at a smorgasbord. I thought I'd gain weight from it for sure, but I didn't! This makes me feel like when I'm out it's okay to go overboard a little, as long as I'm not doing it every day.

Remeber to not get discouraged if one day you gained a couple pounds out of nowhere, too! "Water weight" is no myth. Like if you drink a pint of water - you gain a pound. A pint's a pound the world around. Weird stuff can happen weightwise with your body hydrating and deydrating as you work up a sweat and drink to replenish over days. If anything odd like that happens remeber the diet and exersise like a good stock - it might fluctuate with 'the market', but as long as you're pretty consistent in burning off more cals than you take in, it will trend in a good direction over time if you sick with it.

Congratulations! Glad it's working out well for you.

I've started exercising daily (when I'm in New Haven that is) a few months ago, but it's only because there's actually a small gym in the bottom of my apartment building. If I had to travel to get to the gym, I would probably be a lot less motivated.

I used to go to weight watchers (okay so I went once, quit, went again, quit...) and they used to say the same thing. It still hurt when the lady next to me got the "lost five pounds" star and I didn't. :grumpy:

I did WW a long time ago (Veggieboy, and some others I know too), but never did the meetings/weigh-ins for exactly that reason. Competing against myself is tough enough, thx.

So far so good! I went up a bit from a big night out, but for the past eight days I have been going down more than .2LBS a day. It's going slowly...but the slower the weight comes off, the better.
