I'm sorry guys. But the more I look over my schedule, the more I realize I just cannot make it to anymore GGG sessions for the rest of the year. It has nothing to do with you guys, but me. I've already missed too many sessions and I feel like I can't be counted on to make anymore with work being what it is and familial obligations pressing on top of me.

When I signed up, I swear my schedule was far more stable. I had a lot of fun in the sessions I attended and I want to apologize to the group. This is a dickhead move, but I think it'd be more dickhead of me to let you guys think I could make it to the next three GGGs (for the record. It looks like I can't).

So write out the Baron, give him a B12 and sleep with his wife. With a heavy heart, I have to bow out. :(

FUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKK!

Damn, that sucks - mostly for us, since you're a great gamer. I hope that you find some 40k to fill your gaming needs.

cawshis!

who will share the burden as the butt of the others' ethnically inappropriate jokes? don't leave me alone with whitey!

say it ain't so?! we need the Baron - he's the only politically ambitious one amongst us, right? he needs the opportunity to crush his rivals!can you come this friday and at least write him out with a flourish, or is your job for "the man" making it impossible? or will we have to drive up and kidnap you?

anyway, consider this an open invitation to play Burning Wheel and other assorted games with the uptown gaming crew (we're not too far from you, for the time being). just PM us if you want a game and we'll make it happen.

peace

Yeah. This weekend is definitely out now as a friend has sprung a charity event that I simply must attend (like he was my best man kind of obligation) and the other two sessions are looking bleak as well. It turns out that my Fridays just are not as stable as I thought. The summer went well I think, because of the one shots (so my schedule felt more flexible when in fact it wasn't).

I'm really disappointed myself, since I worked hard to burn a character that I thought could be really interesting to play…and worked so well with your guys beliefs and characters. I hope that I'll be able to make it to another session (if only to reprise the Baron for a moment or two), but it looks like I'm to be relegated to guest star.

I'd say otherwise, but I wanted to be honest. The schedule just isn't looking good. I might, however, be pming somebody about picking up a game of BW outside GGG, as a weekend (Sunday) would be a lot easier to fit in.

This post doesn't begin to sum up my disappointment. Seriously. I had a blast in the game up to this point.

cawshis-

if an englishman, a polish dude, a sri lankan, a greek, and an irish guy show up at your charity event claiming to be CIA agents - DO NOT show any resistance and come quietly. i repeat DO NOT RESIST. and hide the dice.

How'd you know that I'm sri lankan?
Man, I sure miss Jaffna.

okay, i'm gonna need some help with changing beliefs after the last episode. i will bring this up at the session, but any ideas now are appreciated:

Current Beliefs:
- I will see the end of monarchy in my lifetime.
- The Old Gods have entrusted me to save Lunalt, through sorcery I enact their will.
- I will assure that Prince Garrett never ascends to the throne.

What I want to change to:
- The end of monarchy is near - but I must assure the birth of the Republic and the stability of Lunalt.
- I will assure that Prince Garrett never ascends to the throne, and he will pay for making me a pawn in his machinations.

maybe change the Sorcery one (since it's clear to the Doctor that the sorcery is not a gift from Old Gods, and that everyone who worships the Old Gods is more or less a fucking lunatic) to something about the wife. discover her true role in the imprisonment, etc. (if she was in on the Prince's plan, whether shagging him or not, she is gonna pay!).

or maybe just "If my wife is no good, then the Baron's will have to do."
