I just picked up my copy of the magazine last night. I'd heard about it a couple of weeks ago. My thoughts were...
* AWESOME!
* Wait, it wasn't word game of the year?
* Pathwords? What the heck is Pathwords?
* OMG PATHWORDS IS SINGLE-PLAYER IT'S NOT EVEN A GAME
..and so on and so forth. I do notice that Games misprinted Pathwords' entry in the magazine, marking it as a runner-up when it was its category winner. Pathwords does look nifty, but there's an argument that, being solitaire, it's really a puzzle and not a game. At least, the competitive side of me wants to believe so!
