NerdNYC Boardgame Night: July 20th

Nerds, Tables and Games

Postby Pillar on Sat Jun 30, 2012 11:07 pm

On FRIDAY, JULY 20th, 7:00-11:00PM, NerdNYC will hold its next Boardgame Night.

Bring any game you want, enjoy the company of your fellow nerds and eat delicious foodstuffs!
ThinkCoffee also sports an excellent wine and beer bar!

We'll be meeting @:
THINKCOFFEE (Mercer Street)
248 Mercer Street
(between 3rd and 4th Streets)
New York, NY
here's a Google map.
just a few short blocks from the B, D, F, A, C, E, R, N, and 6 trains.

take the A, C, E to West 4th Street
take the B, D, F, or M train to Broadway/Lafayette
take the 6 train to Astor Place or Bleecker Street.
take the N, R to 8th Street

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ADMISSION is FREE!!!!*
*ThinkCoffee respectfully requests that you purchase something from their wide variety of drinks and vegan-friendly foodstuffs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please post if you are attending, and list the games you intend to bring so that people can get all excited!

NOTE: Table space at ThinkCoffee is always at something of a premium. We do the best we can, but it is probably better to avoid bringing games that require lots of table space, or ones that take more than 3 hours to finish. Save those games for other events like Recess!

NOTE: Like all of our events, no experience is necessary to participate. We ask that everyone who brings a game be ready to explain the rules to newcomers.

If you have questions, either post here or send a Private Message (PM) to Pillar.

GAME ON!

Hello, I would love to attend and I can bring a fantastically fun game called Gloom. Gloom is a dark American style rpg card game.

Great! I just picked up Gloom myself -- but please go ahead and bring your copy. :)

Will be there, +1. Not sure what we'll bring this time. May sit in on some new games with other folks, but will bring something to share.

I'm back from Wisconsin and ready to game. After watching the 'Bastogne' episode of Band Of Brothers last night I am going to set up "Longvilly Trap - December 19, 1944" for Memoir '44.

A great night! Thanks to all the people who came out, especially the new folks. We had about 49 people attend and play.

We played, among others: Takenoko, Tsuro, Guillotine, Loco, Pandemic, Ghost Pirates, Settlers, Memoir '44, Zooloretto, Zombie Dice, Red Dragon Inn, 7 Wonders, and a bunch of others.

Next time is August 10th!

Hey,
Just wanted to say I had a great time and hope I am able to attend the next Boardgame night. Dixit was great and the other game (which I completly forgot the name of) that involved me screwing over my fellow pirates was hilarious.
