I am looking for a personal assistant for my one person IT consulting company. You would be an independent contractor—not a full or part time employee and this is not under the table. Pay is $20/hour with no benefits. I would expect you have another part time job or other clients, or be a college student as this will not turn into a full time job.

Hours will vary and are not guaranteed week to week but I expect 6-12 per week normally spread out over about 2 days per week (to fall between normal 9-6 hours). Hours would be set by you as some work can be done from your home at your leisure and some from my apartment in Hoboken, as well as some occasional running around Hoboken or Manhattan for errands. My apartment is within walking distance of Hoboken Path terminal.

You must be detail oriented, an excellent written and spoken communicator, own a laptop, be computer savvy enough to use Apple's Pages and Numbers, and be friendly to my two cats.

Tasks would include Internet research, running errands (FedEx, dropping things off to clients, etc), scanning documents, filing (digital and paper), managing inventory of computer accessories that I sell, data entry, and writing copy for an email newsletter. This may expand into book keeping and invoicing over time.

You will not be providing IT support, answering phones, cold calling, social marketing, making sales, or managing my calendar / inbox.

This may be a good opportunity for you to learn a bit about IT as well as the ins and outs of running a small business.

If you're interested PM me to discuss.

Ridogi is really cool and I think he's probably a great boss!

That probably doesn't help coming from someone who doesn't post on the boards anymore, but there it is.
