Updated: DarkRefuge has agreed to fill a spot left by a GM withdrawal; he will be running a game of his own design:

Boardname: DarkRefuge
The name of your game: Dark Refuge: The Adventure Game
The game system: Dark Refuge Game system (uses d10s for attack and dodge, d6s for Skills and Spells)
Players: 2-8
2nd Session

Description:
The Border Wars have just ended, a national campaign that has changed the face of the Northern Kingdoms of Refuge. The Colony of Kalino is rebuilding. But when the terrorist Church of One disables the Colony's defenses, it opens the way for an invasion by the alien Quall N'drone Horde and sparks a day of violence and riots that nearly overwhelm the Earther Colony. Welcome to that day, lets see if you can survive...

Dark Refuge is a role playing game for both beginner and advanced Gamers. With a revolutionary new “Magic” system called The Leyas, all characters have their share of power. Unlike the limp-wristed mages of other game systems, characters in DR can use their magical abilities every round and are skilled warriors as well. Characters can Shapeshift their bodies, Summon monsters to their aid, and turn their Enemies powers against them.
Set on the planet Refuge, a world of lost technology and high magic. Easy to play, Dark Refuge will appeal to gamers of all backgrounds.

Characters: Pre-Gens (taken from the DR Outlaws Guide to Refuge Sourcebook and Northern Kingdoms Guide Sourcebook). All players will be getting some great giveaways and will be GM’d by the creator of the game.

Hi Pillar,

Question: Is there parking there? And/or a subway line close by?

Click the Recess link at the top of the page for directions and maps to Bric (http://www.nerdnyc.com/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 25&t=41755). Bric is close to many subway lines and i suppose street parking is about as easy as anywhere in Brooklyn - lots and metered parking nearby.

DK is right. Here is the link on Google Maps; BRIC is a little ways up the Rockwell Place street. (For some reason, the studio direction page on the BRIC homepage has disappeared).

We will be on the 2nd floor.

The nearest subways are 2,3,4,5 at Nevins, or B,M,Q,R at DeKalb. I'd recommend the subway over driving since the stop is so close (unless you are coming from far away or have a lot of stuff to bring).

There is a parking lot on Ashland Place between Fulton St and Lafayette Ave which is across the street from BRIC. If I remember correctly the price for parking all day isn't outrageous.

It's usually cheaper to park on the weekends definitely - I drove the last 2 times I was there and it was like 10-15 bucks for all day parking I think.
