GGG Aberration of Starlight

Bi-monthly RPG Club

Belecia, Grod, Iona, Komshuk and Pranav, crew of the scout ship Juniper, have boldly decided to brave the sky tombs of Perderabo in search of plunder!

The deadly supergiant star Perdurabo spews its horrible radiation out across the remnants of a star system. Here, enterprising humans have built a space station in the shadow of an asteroid -- for asteroids are all that remain of the system's worlds -- to harvest rare elements emitted by the star. Two years ago a prospector discovered a decidedly alien construct within one of the asteroids, apparently a tomb for the long-extinct species the Ushan, who believed Perdurabo to be a manifestation of the divine.

Our heroes, after negotiating a contract to survey an ice asteroid for use by the station, have discovered a sky tomb built into the ice! Its halls long since flooded with cold water, it presents a challenge to the explorers, but they make their way through the icy, chest-deep water, discovering a number of strange artifacts.

We ended the session on a cliffhanger! Komshuk has been taken by surprise as a bizarre bug-shaped robot attacks him with sharp metal claws! Poor Komshuk almost managed to become a permanent fixture in the tomb as well, getting his butt stuck in a drainage vent.

Last friday night the STALWART crew of the Juniper witnessed first hand the awesome power of a ship-mounted plasma cannon. Too bad it was being demonstrated on the Juniper.

During this attack the crew also discovered that the only one who knew how to operate their own armaments was the guy busy piloting the ship. That was awkward.

The important thing is that they got paid.
