The Prince is not lying. I should have had him do the deed, but I was hoping you guys were going to do something before he got to it, so I stalled him. - My Bad, sorry guys

The uncle is offering Tilan wealth and power - not information. Until Tilan has something to offer, the uncle is going to be tight-lipped - it's his nature (read instinct: Always get paid first.)

Carasus is about to get info from the north. Sir Simon is a major player up north, not just a follower. Since Dro isn't going to be there - I'll think of something. Also, this means no duel.

Sorry, if things are a little off. It's my first time running a game like this and all the chracters are vastly different. It's been hard to figure out ways to bring you all together. Many of you were calling for the end of the king, so I assumed you were all looking for some king killing - rather than being pawns. I though buy playing up the fact that people were using you it would spur you into action. I guess I didn't provide enough info to give you options.

So, tell me what you character needs to know and I'll see what I can do.

or we can head into action like this:

FRIDAY'S GAME (with Cawshis)

What we can do is jump to the two peasants getting to Baron Thaddeus' keep. They have been following (at a distance) troops that are moving EAST(yes, away from the orcs). Baron Thaddeus receives Baron [I don't have my notes]'s troops. He is told that the orcs have been dealt with and now they are on orders from the Prince to start moving East towards the river valley and Queenspur.

FRIDAY'S GAME (without Cawshis)

All the players awake shortly after falling asleep to the sound of fighting and the light and heat of fires. Shouts announce that the king has been killed and that the crown prince has also died. The people in the city are rioting. The characters are asked by the sons and servants of the king's brother to come with them.

Holy crap. What happened with the Wrystians that the troops are headed east? What happened with that treaty??

the prince is going behind his father's back and is going to side with the north and attack Wryst, after killing his father

::checks beliefs::

Hmm. This seems to work well for Baron Thaddeus. He's loyal to the throne, not the man and if the treaty would've dwindled Lunalt power further (which Thad believes it would have), then working with the northern king would be the way to go.

In fact, my second belief is all about diplomacy and using the North as my leverage.

What's the status on the old gods/sorcery and the North? I'm curious at the religious developments.

I was going to have the Doctor (with help of Crassus and maybe trying to enlist the lawyer) sell the Prince out to the King (before his crazy pride got him back in jail). Of course they wouldn't believe crazy Tomas, but maybe the rumors would have stalled the treaty. So that was what we were trying to do.

man, I was so looking forward to the duel! we'll have to do a flashback when Drozdal returns with his bad tan!

well, nothing to apologize for! that's why we're asking questions. running a political game is hard work, but BW provides us enough space that we all don't have to be working together to get stuff done.

for me, finding out that the Prince had manipulated the Doctor by teaching him the sorcery was awesome! it enabled me to change the Belief to be even more action oriented and also to engage in the Duel of Wits with the wife. but then I stalled out when I couldn't figure out what his agenda was and just focused on revenge beliefs.

are we going to get a chance to meet the Sorceror who trained Tomas? i bet it is from the Northern King (but that is the same sorceror that Crassus knows).

are the coins that Mathias has from the dead "orc" coins from Lunalt or Wryst? (that is, how good a job did they do trying to cover this up? i assume the dumb peasant can tell what local currency is even if he doesn't own anything)

you do remember that we're all wearing dwarven mail and have G11 mortal wound, right?

I'm really looking forward to this week's session, rewriting beliefs, killing the doctor, y'know general mayhem!

The Bishop's going to kick ass.

NB: I've already had a character lose his head this week.

in honor of Clem deciding to not betray his lunkhead uncle, Matias' Belief:

"I am a burden on my family. I poach so they can eat"

has become

"I am a burden on my family. I will prove myself by keeping my ungrateful nephew alive (he is a burden on ~me~)."

see you all tonight!

so the story of the peasants has come to a relatively happy family reunion. (though not so much as a "thanks mathias for saving my ungrateful son" - the army is going to be a relief from the family).

bit disappointed that we didn't get to the necessary uncle/nephew reconciliation, but if the army gets to Twinstad there is still a chance for Green Arrow to save the day again!

the Bishop plans murder, and the Doctor is changing his name to Richard Kimble (that is what the beard is good for). failed disguise and inconspicuous rolls ensue.

meanwhile, "The King is dead!" "Long live the King?"

also, do we really want to do a make up session sometime before the finale?
