So what's our list of authors so far? I'm about 5700 words in, still a bunch more to finish the story. But I have lots of editing to do.

I'll just keep a list on the original post for ease of tracking so I'm not reposting over and over. :)

W00-flippin-00t! Finished with the 1st draft. Now I've got a number of proof readers/editors who are going to go through it with a fine toothed comb.

Here's a question - how does the copyrighting angle work? Is a short story copyrighted by the author and then the compilation is copyrighted by NerdNYC? How does this work?

Congratulations on finishing the first lap!

From what I understand, as a NonProfit NerdNYC can't technically sell the books as there's a limit to the amount of the money it is able to make from certain venues.

So, depending on what we wind up doing about print, we will likely be releasing under one of the Creative Commons licences - I'll have more details once we hammer them out.

No, I was more questioning the copyrighting. In other words, am I responsible for copyrighting the story, or does it belong to the Creative Commons license as part of the publishing process?

I ask because I honestly don't know.
