The new version of CS is coming out and with that there is an offline and "online" version. I am interested in the online version, it gives the whole suite (every program in the master collection) plus a bunch that will only be available in the online package. The cost is small enough that it wont hurt the wallet in the short term. In the long term you end up paying more, especially if you just to the month to month plan. From what I read, you just need to be online every 30 days for the suite to check on the reg-key and you can use the product for another 30 days.

Interesting! I doesn't make sense for me right now, but I'm excited about this in the long term.

It's interesting that they fold web hosting into the plan.

I wonder how long before our computers just become dumb terminals and talk over the cloud to remote, massive servers that run everything on hyper-fast-super-efficient hardware with endless RAM, processing power and space.

Back to the 1960s!

Also storage, 20gb if you pay, like 5gb(?) if you just have a Adobe account.

Work like a stud!

I was tempted by the $29/month but that's only for the first year and then it goes up to $49. Too much. I will stick with my buy-a-new-version-every-couple-years plan.

I did some math and its about 4 years before you pay for a full Master Collection, by that point Adobe will have another version out, so it's kinda like buying the whole thing each time. With my current projects I actually use most of the Master Collection so it doesn't feel like a waste. Plus it's easier to manage updates, soo much easier.

I did the $29 offer, with taxes and junk its like $32

The UI/chrome default is black and dark gray (can be changed) which now matches my computer which is nice in a Mac-design-wannabe sort of way.

I am currently installing it on my work computer as well (OSX). So far, it is working fine, I hope some of the issues I was having with CS4 on my work compy get cleared up. The default palette setup is neater and takes up less space, new docking point at the bottom too. And the programs quit much faster! I want to try the PS Content-ware Patch tool and Cropping (crop doesn't destroy art anymore). Also new RAW7, so I hope this will help with my stop motion too.
