Affirmative. Death-Bot 9000 would rather avoid internet drama.

Yeah, the server hiccups are fine compared to what could've happened (said the guy who waited an hour while bitching on vent at 3AM monday night).

I *am* surprised by the minor hiccups, even, because of how fucking smooth the Cataclysm launch was.

The multi-player in Diablo is fucking butter. Fried brown butter that I want to suck down with melting bone-marrow. Yummy yummy bone marrow fried in butter. Um. I think I might be a bit low on calcium and/or protein...

The voice of the Witch Doctor annoyed me too much so I started leveling a Mage. Goddamn mages are fun.

Frost Nova > Shock Pulse > Wave of Force with Shatter and Explosive Bolts runes make it hilarious to run into a group of enemies and watch body parts fly everywhere. Heheheheheeeeeeee.

One thing I dislike about it basically being a complete online game is that I keep the map.
I don't mind stuff respawning but I like filling out my map and it just keeps getting redone.

That's because there is no map, every dungeon and zone is procedurally recreated anytime you enter the dungeon, so on replay you can't trace back your footsteps, as it'll, theoretically, never be the same.

Yes, I know why :)
IIRC in diablo 1 and 2, it created maps procedurally but they were locally for your current game so you could "clear" them.

I'm concerned that this game might have satanic content.

Did anyone else flash back to 15 years ago when the Tristram music started playing on the guitar?

Because I was suddenly in a wood-paneled room with a single window looking out into creepy dark woods, which was where I first played Diablo in 1997.

YES!
To the gameless I bring games. To the funless I bring fun. Those who welcome these gifts may live, but I will visit naught but death and eternal damnation on those who refuse them!

Great stuff. Pula and I played for a while last night. We teamed up as a Witch Doctor and Barbarian, and halfway through our night a Demon Hunter friend joined us. It was pretty glorious, and the mobs get pretty impressive as you pile on the players. The Skeleton King hit really hard while facing the three of us, and took a while to take down. It was a whole lot of fun. I am going to start a Diablo 3 get together page in this section to try and coordinate some nerd virtual violence.
