from Q*Bert to Gamecube.

So, the next Elder Scrolls game comes out on 11-11-11 (which is just an awesome release date btw). I was completely addicuted to Oblivion and everything I have seen about this....well only excites me. The visuals are so much cleaner and amazing looking.

Now I can only wait until I am once again thieving and assassinating my way through the world!

I'm excited!

I don't like the name (it's easy to talk to friends about playing Oblivion or Dagger Fall, Skyrim sounds off). But I've heard good things.

Any word if leveling up has been fixed?

I hope so, I got turned off by the whole pick main skills you don't use so you can maximize what you get on level ups and that leveling up felt like it got you nothing since the world leveled up with you, so you didn't feel more powerful.

Affirmative. Death-Bot 9000 would rather avoid internet drama.

It looks fine on paper but saying it aloud is odd. "Scarum"?

The few screenshots I've seen look awsome.

From what I have heard they are definately tweaking a lot of the game (especially combat). Like how you can cast magic with each hand. Or you can still have a sword and a shield. Also they are trying to make it where you have companions (kind of like in fallout 3...but better).

apparently as far as skills and leveling they are adding perks a la Fallout. Woot woot!
And as far as weapon skills they are changing from sword/blunt to 1hand/2hand and the player can later specialize in axes/maces/swords via perks
Also a new monster is Dragons! And not just one but several

I'd just be happy if they could finally implament dual wielding. This new milliu is crying out for a barbarian with an ax in each hand.

I am wondering now- Is playing a 1st person video game like oblivion uncomfortable for left handed people? I did a quick search and didn't find anything though I am sure there must be some info somewhere. It must be uncomfortable to have to be right handed in a game world when you are used to manipulating objects with your left hand. Southpaws are 10% of the population so implementing an in-world left handed option might be a nice idea. Just flipping the graphics would work as far as combat and spellcasting but would make reading letters and using the map next to impossible. The only solution would be to be able to toggle the physics and collisions (and spell anim placement) caused by the player character.
